Tires: We start with a tire cleaner to remove mud and dirt off the tires
Wheels: A wheel cleaner is used to remove road film and dirt built up on the wheel (rims)
Note: Painted wheels will be cleaned as safely as possible to avoid scratching. This may not remove all dirt in the barrell.
Wheel wells: This area is powerwashed to remove as much dirt and mud as possible.
Exterior paint is pre-rinsed to loosen up large debris. Then it is hand washed with a plush pircrofiber to avoid scratching.
The paint receives a clay bar treatment to remove any debris stuck on the paint. This is a very important step to ensure that the wax adheres as well as possible.
Note: A synthetic clay mitt is very safe but may not remove heavy contaminants like tar, heavy iron or tree sap. If your car has any of the previously mentioned, please out our Old School Detail Service.
A one step polish is done to the paint of the car. When polishing a car, a small layer of clearcoat is removed. Since the amount of clearcoat that your car is limited and newer cars are being produced with less of it, this is an excellent option for newer vehicles and cars with soft paint.
This can remove minor swirls and light scuffs on the paint. Swirl marks are the scratches caused by brushes at a rive thru car wash and other things that come in contact with your vehicle. It may even out some heavier scratches and make them less visible.
Note: for cars with heavily swirled paint or cars with harder paint (most German cars) we recommend a two step correction. Check out our Old School Detail Service
